In the year that the 500 wants you site has been up and running, you have come up with a whole host of accessories and ideas for customising the car, you have brought it to life through music, images and video of all sorts, you have seen it first, and you have thought of advertising ideas for its launch... but did you know that you have also helped to define its colours, interiors and contents?
During the past few months, many articles have been written, many guesses made and lots of rumours started about the contents of the new 500, but very few people actually know that they came, in fact, from your suggestions and ideas.
That is why the 500 now wants to thank you, by revealing how you have helped to define some of its features. We start in this newsletter with a few details about the exterior colours, wheels and accessories.
And in the near future we will be giving you some details about the engines and interiors.

NEW
PREVIEW – COLOURS AND WHEELS
Almost the entire range of exterior colours for the new Fiat 500 were chosen by you in the configurations made using Concept Lab I and II. To give you an idea, we can tell you that the most popular colours included white, red, black and light blue ...
The designers at the Fiat Style Centre made a few changes to the various shades to adapt them better to the car's personality.
The same goes for the wheels: of all the various models available in the Concept Lab, the most popular will be available on the new Fiat 500. And it has already been used on the car used for the first official photo shoot!
PREVIEW – ACCESSORIES
Italian style, sportiness, technology: these were your suggestions for the accessories on the new Fiat 500, with ideas taken from the Concept Lab and the Sticker Art Contest.
We can tell you, for example, that one of the most popular accessories in the Concept Lab was the "flag logo"...
We can't tell you much more at the moment, other than the fact that there will be so many different accessories available that you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to customising your 500: the various possible combinations of engines, versions, colours, wheels and accessories mean that you can configure your Fiat 500 in more than 500,000 different ways!.
500 wants youR AD – in progress
The first stage of the contest has ended, with over 3300 advertising ideas sent in for the launch campaign for the new 500! The various proposals range from ideas for viral and guerrilla marketing, to traditional advertising, press, television and radio, and many more besides.
From 21st to 28th May you will be able to vote for your favourite from the finalists chosen by our international jury.
500X500 Online Booking – Great success!
500 online reservation requests in less than 500 minutes for the exclusive 500 wants you advance booking initiative.
We would like to extend a special thanks to all the Community, with just a touch of envy towards the 500 lucky people who could very soon be driving the exclusive 500 wants you edition.
For the rest of us, all we can do now is wait for 4 July, and the launch of the new Fiat 500. |

Once again the final designs were based on your configurations in the Concept Lab: for example, the design of the stereo and the gear lever knob came from you!

Our international jury has chosen the finalists in the contest for the launch campaign for the new 500.

500 wants youR ADV – ended
'Some Do Come Back' by Igor Mladinovic and 'Tutta da scoprire (All to be discovered)' by Emanuela Picca are the two winning projects of the 500 wants youR AD contest.
As part of their prize, the winners enjoyed a trip to Cannes from 17 to 23 June, where they had VIP passes to the Festival of Advertising, and each of them also receive the new Fiat 500.

500 Overland: Nanchino-Bologna with the Fiat 500
The 500 Overland journey is about to start: a journey of over 16,000 kilometres, through 9 different countries, in less than a month. The Fiat 500 will be setting out from the heart of China, and will be travelling through distant lands, meeting new people and cultures, through contrasting colours and landscapes, before finally arriving in Bologna just in time for the Motor Show.

Fiat 500 wins the EuroCarBody 2007
EuroCarBody 2007, the prestigious, internationally recognised bodywork award has been won this year by the Fiat 500. The car was chosen by a panel of almost 600 experts in body design, materials and production, representing 15 international automotive brands.
Fiat 500, the 5-star car
For the Fiat 500, safety is of the utmost importance, it’s as simple as that. The 500 has earned the prestigious Euro NCAP 5-star safety certification, placing it among the very best on the market in terms of safety. It’s no real surprise, though, given that no expense was spared on the Fiat 500 to ensure protection for both driver and passengers, with several sophisticated safety devices, including 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, ASR, MSR and Hill-holder.

Pas de nouvelle des chiffres de production et de moyens mis en oeuvre par Fiat pour améliorer leur capacité à produire: j'aurais bien aimé que Fiat communique officiellement sur le sujet (je crois que tout ce qu'on sait jusqu'à présent n'est qu'officieux, je me trompe peut-être)

A Fiat 500 Baby Boom for little Simone!
New mum, Cinzia Giunchi, is the lucky winner of the special edition Fiat 500 Baby Boom. Her baby boy, Simone, was born on September 15 2007 in Forlì, and his parents' joy at his birth was increased by the thrill of winning the Fiat 500 Baby Boom.
Another 40 new mums who entered the contest have each won a beautiful Fiat 500 top. So everyone's happy...
